Jewels of Rías Baixas – Armenteira & Combarro

Departing from Vilagarcía de Arousa or Cambados, we will visit essential spots of Rías Baixas. Starting at the Monastery of Santa María de Armenteira, a 12th – century jewel. Its majesty will win your heart. The Monastery lies in the heart of the Salnés region, in a valley on the western slopes of Mount Castrove.

A 5 minutes walk will take us to the Route of the Mills of O Salnés. We will discover the beauty of these constructions that lie in their simplicity and the quality of their stone and wood. This approach has been possible thanks to the work of A Segorella group, formed by almost fifty residents.

We will end our day at Combarro, a tiny sailors village where to stroll among Horreos and Cruceiros over the Sea, with a sterling reputation for providing the best gastronomy of O Salnés. In here you will have free time to get lost among its stone paths. We recommend you to sit in one of its terraces beside the sea and taste some of the delicious seafood and fish dishes with a glass of our world-awarded Rías Baixas (Albariño) wine. Enjoy the mix of water and stone in the heart of Rías Baixas in a village where time seems to have stopped centuries ago.
